CLEP Initiatives for Service Members and Veterans
In honor of Veterans Day, recognizing our Veterans and the men and women currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Armstrong Center for Community Learning and CLEP program is proud to help clear a path toward college and career success for military personnel through a longstanding partnership with the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES).
Today, we are excited to announce two new initiatives to further support our military-connected students.
The CLEP Out Challenge | Nov. 11, 2018 – Mar. 29, 2019
Service Members and Veterans could win up to $5,000 for their student military or veteran group. To enter, students must create a 30 – 60 second video telling us how they spent the time they saved thanks to CLEP and then post it to Instagram with the hashtag #CLEPOut. For more information from the CLEP website click here.
Student Search Service Pilot
Starting in 2019, Service Members can opt in to the College Board’s free Student Search Service when registering for a CLEP exam. Search connects students with higher education institutions, education support organizations, and scholarship programs. The goal of the pilot is to identify high-performing Service Members and help them create pathways to education opportunity.
The Armstrong Center for Community Learning is a fully-funded and College Board authorized CLEP test center for DANTES testing.
