Week of Giving 2025

Dear Friends and Supporters,

On behalf of the Armstrong Center for Community Learning (ACCL) Board of Directors and Staff, we are excited to announce that the ACCL and Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek (ODC) will participate in the

2025 Week of Giving, which will be held from May 5th through May 9th.  The Week of Giving is sponsored by the Armstrong County Community Foundation in partnership with NexTier Bank.

All donations the ACCL receives during the 2025 Week of Giving of $25 or greater will be partially matched by the Community Foundation’s Bonus Fund, making YOUR donations go even further!

Donations during the 2025 Week of Giving will support the ACCL in two ways:

  1. A percentage of donations received will be used to award post-secondary scholarships to Armstrong County students enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions. With your support in previous years, the ACCL unveiled the ACCL Post-Secondary Scholarship, William R. Schall Memorial Scholarship and the Future Nurses of Armstrong County Scholarship. The ACCL’s goal is to increase funding for annual scholarships and continue creating new post-secondary scholarships.  Learn more at armstrongcenter.org/scholarships/.
  2. A percentage of donations received will also be used to support the day-to-day operations of the Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek, which is operated by the ACCL. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing supplies for nature programs for homeschool students, building and grounds maintenance, etc.  The ODC Program Coordinator has been working hard to expand the educational and recreational programming offered at the ODC and additional financial support will enable the continued growth of the ODC.  Learn more at armstrongcenter.org/locations/odc/.

Donations to the Armstrong Center for Community Learning will be accepted as follows:

  1. Write a check payable to the Armstrong Center for Community Learning between now and May 9, 2025.
    • Mail check to the ACCL, 104 Armstrong Street, Suite A, Ford City, PA 16226

All checks must be received in our office by Friday, May 9th by 4pm. 

  1. Make an Online Donation between May 5 – 9, 2025 one of two ways:
      • Click on Week of Giving at the top of the homepage
      • Click on the Make a Donation tab
      • Complete the form and choose the Armstrong Center for Community Learning/Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek

Online donations must be made from May 5th through May 9th.
